A note from Coach McGuire
I wanted to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication, for their tireless efforts that made last night (January 14) a resounding success. I am sure many of you will be nauseated when I repeat that my goal is to build a baseball community. Well, I am happy to report that it looks like we have a foundation. Eventgs like last night evidence that there is a new commitment to baseball in Farmington and I hope that all of you embrace this as much as I do.
It warmed my heart to see representatives from FYBL, FAAC, the Booster Club, Plainville Baseball Facility, Babe Ruth, FHS staffers, alumni, the kids (the future), business leaders and friends and family all in attendance and having a blast. The speakers were engaging and entertaining, and I am sure you all got the warmth that they felt for each other. The guests truly are stars and I appreciated their willingness to speak to the Farmington Baseball Community.
To all, thank you for coming, reaching into your pockets, volunteering and I promise the faith that you have put in the coaching staff at FHS will be a responsibility we will continue to take seriously as long as I am involved.
I look forward to seeing you all in the near future and again want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
