Farmington Purple defeats Avon Green for 2009 Crown

June 7 -- Farmington Purple captured the 2009 Farmington/Avon Babe Ruth title this afternoon with a 9-2 victory over Avon Green. Avon led 2-1 going into the 5th inning, but Purple broke the game open with 4 runs in the 5th and 6th to seal the victory. Congratulations to Purple on it's win today and to all Farmington and Avon teams on great seasons.
